The beloved land of Kurdistan is once again grief-stricken, with heartbroken mothers, devastated fathers and orphaned children. When the bombs take a break, Mother Nature is there to fill the void.
According to latest reports, at least 450 people have died and more than 7000 are injured in East and South Kurdistan (Kirmanshah and Halabja) after Sunday night’s earthquake.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who have lost their loved ones and to all the people of Kurdistan.
KAID is working with communities in the U.S, Canada, and elsewhere in response to the earthquake!
Our site manager is on the ground conducting damage and humanitarian needs assessments for relief assistance. We want to thank all those who have rushed to assist in the rescue and recovery efforts.
We are only successful because of your generous support, and we need your help now more than ever!!
